I just want to confirm that when I clone an event, the tickets on that event are suppose to come over to the new event as well. Is that right?
If so, this is not working properly in our instance. Before I use one of our support tokens, I’d just like to make sure that I’m not missing something here. Just to clarify, here’s what’s happening for us:
– we clone the event
– no tickets whatsoever are displayed on the new event
Hi Brent, are you referring to the duplicate event button (http://cl.ly/image/3y1N353v0A0e) in the event editor? If so, then yes the tickets (pricing options) will be duplicated as well.
If its not working, then double-check that you are on the latest version of Event Espresso. If it still does not work, then deactivate all other plugins including any custom coding. Then re-test once more.
If it works, then restore your site a few plugins and a time and re-test until you find the source of the conflict.
Note that “post duplicator” or “cloning plugins” cannot be used with Event Espresso as they only copy the post details and do not account for any pricing information or other details which are used by Event Espresso.
You know, I didn’t even realize that the functionality had moved to a ‘duplicate event’ button. That actually worked just fine. When did the ‘clone event’ feature disappear. (we were slow to upgrade due to ensuring it would not impact customizations)
I can’t tell you exactly, but the duplicate button has been around for numerous versions now, several months for sure, probably around 6 months.
