Testing my event setup and when I add an item, the next screen shows that I successfully added and item for the event, with buttons to procede to Registration, Return to Events List and View Event Cart. (Also a note that there are currently x items in the Event cart. However if I chose View Event Cart, I’m presented with the Event cart page and a note that the event cart is empty. If I go back, add another item and choose to go to registration, the new item AND the previously added item are presented for the registration process.
Further confusing me is the fact that the behavior does NOT persist in Firefox. But does persist in every other major browser 🙁
Resolved this on my own. Boy this program is sensitive to other plugins. Had a plugin that removed Post meta tags like author and such. Turning that one off resolved this issue. The offentding pluin was “WP Author, Date and Meta Remover”.
Removing meta information in and of itself should be fine. However if any errors get thrown while doing so, either because debugging is active or a script throws a JavaScript error, it can prevent the AJAX functions that power the cart to work. This will be the case with any plugin or theme function.
