My website, zero-victims.com uses Event Espresso. When viewing the event calendar on mobile phones, it recently stopped allowing the user to click on events on the calendar to open them. However, if the user turns the mobile phone sideways, then they can still click on them, as always.
We recently began receiving numerous calls from clients saying they could not open, and register for, our events.
This is directly effecting our sales.
Our web developer looked into this and said: “The calendar is working as designed by Event Espresso.”
Please help. Thank you!

A point of clarification: The problem occurs only when holding the mobile phone vertically. When the phone is rotated to the horizontal position, users can click on the events and open them. However, the users don’t know this. This just started being reported to us in the last week.

Hi,
I can see the touch targets are very small, normally those would be large enough to tap. Here’s some CSS you can add to the site that will help:
#espresso_calendar .fc-event {
min-height: 40px;
}
You can add the above to your site’s Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS panel.

Thanks very much for the fast response! I’ll pass that on you my web designer.
Since this issue just started occurring, I’m wondering if this an issue other Event Espresso clients are having also or if it’s unique to me, in which case it may be something in my site design. Have you folks seen this happening with other users? And, if so, is this something Event Espresso will be fixing or will all users have to add CSS to make it work??

All users will not need to add CSS to make it work. For example, this demo site doesn’t have the added CSS:
