Hi, I’m setting up a calendar of events using the Calendar add-on and have two questions:
1. currently it is showing the event post title and then the Datetimes right after it, which is taking up a lot of space so I’d rather just show one or the other. How can I change this?
2. Where do I find the Event Espresso > Categories to change the colours of the categories?

You set the category colour within EVent Espresso -> Events.
Along the tabs at the top of the page you’ll see a Categories tab.
In there you can edit each category, in the sidebar you’ll see ‘Use Custom Category Color’, set that to yes and select your colour.

If you look at a future month (like Feb), you can see how busy it looks because it’s showing the title with the Datetime right after it like one big long title.

Hi again, I decided just to change our datetime text, so we’re good for now. I would like to know where to change the calendar background colour though. I’ve set my event background to grey but I’ve got some showing in blue and some in white and not sure where to change those.

We have a filter to change the text on the calendar to just the event name:

Add that to a custom functions plugin on your site and it will remove the datetime name from the title.

Those different colours look like they are from your categories, do you not want the events to be styles by category in the calendar?
If not, go to Event Espresso -> Calendar -> Advanced Settings.
Set ‘Disable Categories’ to yes and save.
Do the event colours now load correctly?
