Hi, For some reason when patrons try to choose a date to register for they’re not able to, and whenever someone buys a ticket it’s not for any set date, but for all the dates I had for the event. Do I have something wrong? Or what’s the work around for this |

This is for the Event Espresso Calendar EE 4.3+. |
Hi there, Currently, Event Espresso doesn’t officially support ‘recurring events’ with EE4, it’s possible to do but takes some admin work and doesn’t work for all use cases. The calendar displays the datetimes on the events and links back to those events for the user to select the correct ticket rather than filtering to a specific date. I’ve looked over the calendar on your site ad checked the Hey Fever event so I’ll base my answer on that but if you need another just let me know. Right now you have 3 tickets for that event and those tickets are assigned to all of the DateTimes within the event, meaning every ticket sale applies to every DateTime. If you are looking to separate out ticket sales for each individual DateTime you’ll basically need a ‘set’ of those 3 tickets for each individual DateTime (so 3 tickets x 9 Datetimes – 27 Tickets) and each set assigned to its specific DateTime. I’d recommend you add the Date of the event into the ticket name so it’s easiest for users to identify which ticket is for which specific DateTime. So this is basically what you have now: https://monosnap.com/file/41GR0tz2xN7A9ZDsbv1ik94s7j2ON3 The way I would do this with your current event is to edit the first ‘set’ of tickets and set them to only apply to the opening night. You do that by clicking on the icon for the tickets and selecting the Datetime they apply to. So this General ticket: https://monosnap.com/file/WTdN6I6OCoItBqsZNHaoagFSKAQGKp Now only applies to the ‘Opening Night’ datetime. Do that with the other 2 tickets. (Setting this up now saves you more clicks later) Then use the Duplicate button for each ticket in their current order to create a duplicate ‘set’, like so: https://monosnap.com/file/j2hzbSYz9wMnZc8DoUK13GcrtOJrKD (Note I’ve also edited the name to include the date in this example, you’ll also want to set your ticket Sale Starts and End dates). Then on the new ‘set’, click the icons again and set them to apply to the ‘second’ datetime: https://monosnap.com/file/PAQigCuljNtq6V7n2LR1BjkPsinc1s Now you have 1 set of tickets that applies to the Opening night datetime and another that applies to ‘Datetime 2’. Repeat that for all of the Datetimes on the event. Side note, if you are looking at this thinking this will display 27 tickets on the event then your right, it will do. But we do have a filter that adds a dropdown on the ticket selector to filter the tickets based on the DateTime to narrow that selection for users. |

Thank you so much for your help! Where can I find and apply the filter that will add a dropdown to filter the tickets based on the DateTime for users? |

Go to Event Espresso -> Events -> Templates. Set the ‘Show Date & Time Filter?’ option to ‘Maybe show…’ Then below that set the DateTime threshold to the minimum number of unique Datetimes needed on an event for the filter to show, it depends on the types of events you use but start with 3. Then view the event page again and it should show a section to filter the tickets. |
