Event associated with wrong user profile

I’m not sure how this happened, but we have a student that registered for an event via Event Espresso. In the registration, it says the email associated is a @hotmail.com email address. However, when I look in the Users tab, the event he signed up for is associated with a @gmail.com account. How can I transfer the registration to the @hotmail.com user profile when that’s what email is used in the EE registration? The goal is to be able to delete the extra @gmail.com user, but I can’t at the moment because it’s tied to the registration.

Hi there,

Did the user have a WP user account before they register onto the event?

To clarify, right now you have 2 user accounts in Dashboard -> Users.
One with @hotmail and one with @gmail?

Open the user’s registration in the admin, in the contact details at the top right does it have a ‘WordPress User Profile’ link?

If so, does that link take you to the @hotmail account?
