I used a plugin
Capability Manager Enhanced
to match the user role level 1 (s2member) with
the capabilities / permissions of the event administrator
when loggin in as level 1, I should be entering the
admin page but I cannot.
What can I do about it?

Hi there,
It sounds like you don’t have all the permissions setup on the level 1 role.
Can you access /wp-admin/ with level_1 role?

Hi there,
I have not used the Capability Manager Enhanced plugin, but I can let you know that the User Role Editor plugin is recommended and makes it a snap to add ee_ capabilities to a custom user role.

I think Capability Manager Enhanced does the same thing,
just fill in check boxes for each capability
I guess, if I should do that with such a plugin,
there is not another setting somewhere else I could make.
I mean, I should work then.

You could try comparing the capabilities that are set in the Events Administrator role to make sure your new role isn’t missing any of the ee_ capabilities. For example, if you switch the user to have the Events Administrator role, does it work?

I did hit every checkbox and it worked!
