Event Admin can't add promotions

Hello
I have event administrators on my site and they can’t setup promotions as the menu isn’t available

Can you please advise if there is an override to get this working

Hi Karl,

By default only Administrators have access to sections that can apply to all of your events, like promotions, so we don’t give the Event Administrator role the capabilities required for this but you can do if you wish.

Using something like the User Role Editor plugin:

You can then go to Users -> User Role Editor.

Select the Events Administrator (ee_events_administrator) role in the dropdown at the top to view/edit the capabilities on that role.

Then add the ee_*_promotion and ee_*_promotions capabilities to the role

There are a few different types like read, edit, delete which is why I’ve added a * above:

ee_read_promotion
ee_read_promotions
ee_edit_promotion
etc

Add whichever capabilities you want them to have on promotions and then update the role.

All event administrators should then have access to that section.
