After updating the user plugin to 2.0.11 the ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS shortcode just stopped working. The site now displays the shortcode raw code which is somewhat embarrassing…

Is the WP Users Integration plugin actually activated at the moment?
Also, when you input shortcode parameters, you’ll need to be in the text editor mode to avoid issues with curly quotes and you can avoid issues with curly quotes by doing this instead:
[ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS template=simple_list_table your_events_title='Mijn reizen']

Of course it is activated. It is a live site and it was working perfectly fine until the update of the user plugin.
Nothing has changed on the page itself either. Just the plugin update and then it stopped working.
That being said, I checked the page and it was not in text mode. I switched it to text mode and now it works again. Somehow the previous version had no issue with it being in WYSIWYG mode and the updated version does…

Are you sure the page was saved/updated while the Visual Editor was active while it was on the prior version?

The page was created on 22-12-2015. I can’t find out in which mode. It hasn’t been changed since. It always worked fine until the update.
After your first reply I checked and found it to be in Visual Editor mode. changed it back to text, saved it, and it works again.

We didn’t change any code for the short code, but there may be something unique to your theme or another plugin on your site that’s affected by the Visual Editor.
