Hello Team, We are using Event Espresso Version 3.1.31.1 on our website. From some months error logs file are getting updated with errors. (A) The file /wp-content/uploads/espresso/logs/espresso_log.txt is getting updated with the message: [ 2013-05-03 14:00:33 ] payment_page.php -> event_espresso_pay … (all details) … ….%2Csftp&curl_error=”;} (B) The file /wp-content/uploads/espresso/logs/paypal.ipn_results.log is getting updated with message: [05/27/2012 4:52 PM] – Errors from IPN Validation: Using BUILT-IN PHP curl methods key = mc_gross value = 375.00 key = protection_eligibility value = Ineligible … (other details) … IPN Response from gateway Server: VERIFIED
The site is not in maintenance mode or sandbox mode. Also, Paypal Payment Pro Settings are also correct. Please let us know the solution to fix these errors. |
Hi there, It doesn’t appear there are any errors being thrown here. Unless what you’ve posted here had been cut off. In general, it’s best to turn off the error logging in Event Espresso>General settings unless you’re working on troubleshooting. May I ask which payment methods you are using beside PayPal Pro? |

Thank you for your reply. We are using Paypal Pro only, there are no other payment methods in use. We are using Custom files add on for Event Espresso. The error logs option “Use full logging?” in Espresso >General Settings is already set to ‘No’. We have installed Better WP Security plugin on our website and it shows the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/logs/espresso_log.txt frequently getting updated. We are posting a complete test entry of this file: [ 2013-05-03 14:00:33 ] payment_page.php -> event_espresso_pay Payment for: Test, Tester|| attendee_session id: c4b4e677216f46078431e0afe1e68340-5183fa7cd4e522.57873603|| registration id: 84-5183fa7ce05a4|| transaction details: a:29:{s:9:”TIMESTAMP”;s:20:”2013-05-03T18:00:33Z”;s:13:”CORRELATIONID”;s:13:”f19e431a3384a”;s:3:”ACK”;s:7:”Success”;s:7:”VERSION”;s:4:”64.0″;s:5:”BUILD”;s:7:”5715372″;s:3:”AMT”;s:6:”474.00″;s:12:”CURRENCYCODE”;s:3:”USD”;s:7:”AVSCODE”;s:1:”Y”;s:9:”CVV2MATCH”;s:1:”M”;s:13:”TRANSACTIONID”;s:17:”0ME54816DU325730C”;s:11:”set_verbose”;s:1:”1″;s:14:”set_verifypeer”;s:1:”1″;s:11:”set_timeout”;s:1:”1″;s:7:”set_url”;s:1:”1″;s:18:”set_returntransfer”;s:1:”1″;s:14:”set_postfields”;s:1:”1″;s:23:”curl_ver_version_number”;s:6:”463623″;s:12:”curl_ver_age”;s:1:”3″;s:17:”curl_ver_features”;s:4:”1597″;s:27:”curl_ver_ssl_version_number”;s:1:”0″;s:16:”curl_ver_version”;s:6:”7.19.7″;s:13:”curl_ver_host”;s:23:”x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu”;s:20:”curl_ver_ssl_version”;s:12:”NSS/3.13.6.0″;s:21:”curl_ver_libz_version”;s:5:”1.2.3″;s:18:”curl_ver_protocols”;s:61:”tftp,ftp,telnet,dict,ldap,ldaps,http,file,https,ftps,scp,sftp”;s:10:”curl_error”;s:0:””;s:6:”ERRORS”;a:0:{}s:11:”REQUESTDATA”;a:42:{s:4:”USER”;s:30:”payment_url”;s:3:”PWD”;s:16:”XHASWYFA2M7Z5RKA”;s:7:”VERSION”;s:4:”64.0″;s:9:”SIGNATURE”;s:57:”AFcWxV21C7fd0v3bYYYRCpSSRl31AxWMAUssWkzDgvsqrVdJcb3tVIpA “;s:6:”METHOD”;s:15:”DoDirectPayment”;s:12:”BUTTONSOURCE”;s:23:”AngellEYE_PHP_Class_DDP”;s:13:”PAYMENTACTION”;s:4:”Sale”;s:9:”IPADDRESS”;s:12:”97.75.145.28″;s:16:”RETURNFMFDETAILS”;s:1:”1″;s:9:”STARTDATE”;s:0:””;s:11:”ISSUENUMBER”;s:0:””;s:10:”SALUTATION”;s:0:””;s:9:”FIRSTNAME”;s:5:”Tester”;s:10:”MIDDLENAME”;s:0:””;s:8:”LASTNAME”;s:4:”Test”;s:6:”SUFFIX”;s:0:””;s:6:”STREET”;s:21:”Test address”;s:7:”STREET2″;s:0:””;s:4:”CITY”;s:10:”Test City”;s:5:”STATE”;s:2:”NC”;s:11:”COUNTRYCODE”;s:2:”US”;s:3:”ZIP”;s:5:”27265″;s:8:”PHONENUM”;s:0:””;s:3:”AMT”;s:6:”474.00″;s:12:”CURRENCYCODE”;s:3:”USD”;s:7:”ITEMAMT”;s:0:””;s:11:”SHIPPINGAMT”;s:0:””;s:11:”HANDLINGAMT”;s:0:””;s:6:”TAXAMT”;s:0:””;s:4:”DESC”;s:37:”Product Name”;s:6:”CUSTOM”;s:0:””;s:6:”INVNUM”;s:0:””;s:9:”NOTIFYURL”;s:0:””;s:7:”L_NAME0″;s:37:”Product Name”;s:7:”L_DESC0″;s:37:”Product Name”;s:6:”L_AMT0″;s:6:”474.00″;s:9:”L_NUMBER0″;s:0:””;s:6:”L_QTY0″;s:1:”1″;s:9:”L_TAXAMT0″;s:0:””;s:17:”L_EBAYITEMNUMBER0″;s:0:””;s:23:”L_EBAYITEMAUCTIONTXNID0″;s:0:””;s:18:”L_EBAYITEMORDERID0″;s:0:””;}s:11:”RAWRESPONSE”;s:624:”TIMESTAMP=2013%2d05%2d03T18%3a00%3a33Z&CORRELATIONID=f19e431a3384a&ACK=Success&VERSION=64%2e0&BUILD=5715372&AMT=474%2e00&CURRENCYCODE=USD&AVSCODE=Y&CVV2MATCH=M&TRANSACTIONID=0ME54816DU325730C&set_verbose=1&set_verifypeer=1&set_timeout=1&set_url=1&set_returntransfer=1&set_postfields=1&curl_ver_version_number=463623&curl_ver_age=3&curl_ver_features=1597&curl_ver_ssl_version_number=0&curl_ver_version=7.19.7&curl_ver_host=x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu&curl_ver_ssl_version=NSS%2F3.13.6.0&curl_ver_libz_version=1.2.3&curl_ver_protocols=tftp%2Cftp%2Ctelnet%2Cdict%2Cldap%2Cldaps%2Chttp%2Cfile%2Chttps%2Cftps%2Cscp%2Csftp&curl_error=”;} Do we have to change the folder permissions on server? |

It’s making a record of each transaction attempted so that you have something to refer to if there is a problem or dispute later on. If you really want to turn it off, go to includes/process-registration/payment_page.php around line 406 and find the line: espresso_log::singleton()->log( $payment_details ); and comment it out by changing it to: // espresso_log::singleton()->log( $payment_details ); |
