Trying to simply change a “size” of a shirt on a ticket purchase. |
Hi there, Some of the older Event Espresso templates did not have the nonce field, so if this is an older version of Event Espresso, or it has some of the older templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates they are probably missing the nonce fields and should be updated. |
I did the automated update months ago – so how do i know if the nonce fields are there or not. Any specific files i need to replace or nuke? |
Hi Jomo, I would check your version of Event Espresso Lite as it was updated last month to version 3.1.33.L. As Josh said, check this location on your site /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates to see if there are any templates there. If so you can rename that folder and see if it resolves the issue. If you are using a Premium version of Event Espresso, but with a lapsed licence you would need to obtain a fresh licence in order to update to the latest version. |
thanks guys. Are the new “nonce fields” supposed to be in the index.php file in this folder I did the automatic update last month ago and thought i was set… |
The nonce fields were added to the templates that handle the registration forms, not the index.php files. Which version of Event Espresso are you currently running? |

Version 3.1.32.2.P – |
That’s a bit of of date since the current version in 3.1.33.3.P When you change the t-shirt size is this on the front-end of the site or admin? |
it is in the admin – under the attendee info. |
I tested this in Event Espresso 3.1.33.3.P and the info is updating as expected. It may be the older version. Can you try updating to the latest version? |
ok. i am just a bit hesitant that it will break something… |
In the two files, includes/admin-reports/edit_attendee_record.php and includes/admin-reports/enter_attendee_payments.php, search for the line: wp_die( $failed_nonce_msg ); and comment it out by adding a pair of slashes in front of it: //wp_die( $failed_nonce_msg ); |
