When you click on the resend registration details icon in the backend you either see this error, or it shows that the message has been sent. I have tested it several times trying to resend a confirmation to myself and have never received one.
At least one attendee has reported seeing this error when trying to view their HTML confirmation after completing the registration process. I am asking our staff for more info.
I did some digging into this and found the problem.
The error in question is specific to the ‘Resend email’ link shown on the thank you page after a registration, it will only show up if the user has clicked that link. Are you certain you’ve been getting that exact error when resending the email through the amdin? The function which throws that error only runs on the above thank you page link.
We have a fix ready which will be included in the version of Event Espresso.

Do they show as sent in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activity?
