Hi, I just updated my version and it gives me this error: “Could not create the folder at “/var/www/sites/reunionnationale.qc.ca/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/” because:
The “/var/www/sites/reunionnationale.qc.ca/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/” folder is not writable.File permissions for the requested folder are currently set at “755”. The recommended permissions are 644 for files and 755 for folders.
EEH_Activation – create_upload_directories – 1284″

Every permissions is as said in this message on my server…

Help, thanks!

Are you able to delete those directories and re-create them manually?

Yes, I can do it.
Weird, I turned off WP_DEBUG and so I don’t have those messages anymore and when I go see in the/uploads/espresso folder, everything is there…

How can I be sure that my installation is stable?

THX!

Hello,

Event Espresso creates those directories on the first activation so they can be used at a later time. If they are missing, then it will attempt to re-create them as the software is deactivate any reactivated.

Is this a new installation of Event Espresso or was the site recently transferred (e.g. moved from a testing/dev site to a new one)?

Yes, We recently moved the site from a DEV server to the PROD one.
When I did the update to 4.9.9.p on the PROD server, I deactivate Event Espresso, deleted the Event Espresso folder (after I took a bckup) in the plugin folder and copy the new version there.

Hello,

Those steps sounds fine as you did not overwrite the existing folder.

Also, your support license key will provide update services for the site that it is activated so you’ll be able to one-click to update that site through your WP plugins screen.

Yeah, the one-click update wasn’t working this morning but we found out that our server wasn’t accepting the PASV mode. We opened the 50000 to 50010 ports and we are ok now… It works.

THX again!
