Error on Order Confirmation address (non US / Canada)

Hi again!

After placing an order, the order confirmation page is displayed. In the top left hand corner, it displays our office address.

However for State/Province it displays ‘Unknown’ which makes the whole page look unprofessional.
We are in the UK, and don’t use States or Provinces as part of our standard address format. I have selected the country as UK, and deactivated the display of USA and Canada on the settings pages. However this field still activates on the Order Confirmation page.

I’ve been through the documentation, and all of the settings that I can find, but can’t find a way of correcting this. All suggestions / assistance very welcome

Hi Chris,

Currently a region (county) is required. These can be set up via the General Settings > Countries tab. We have a plugin here that will auto load them for you, saving you some time: https://github.com/eventespresso/ee-packs-states-provinces

I will however, raise a ticket to look into the Unknown aspect, as that should not appear in my opinion, so thank you for pointing that out.

The Unknown issue will be fixed in the next standard release, so any part of the address set a Please Select will display nothing instead of Unknown.

A little follow up on this: The “Unknown” text issue was fixed in Event Espresso 4.4 which was released today.
