I am using EE4 v.4.9.2.p and WordPress 4.5.3 and when people try to buy tickets for events they get one of two error messages:
The following errors have occurred:
An invalid registration was received.
A valid Primary Registration for this Transaction could not be found.
or
An error has occurred:
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.
These errors pop up either after they have entered registrant info and clicked on the go to payment button or when they have clicked through the payment selection page to the payment gateway. Some transactions do go through but it seems to be a 50/50 chance if it’ll work.
I am also using the WP Users addon, which I have disabled because the point at which people are forced to login seems to disrupt the ticket process. Even with the addon disabled, these error messages still pop up. I am using W3 Total Cache and have disabled caching on all EE pages per the online instructions. We have GoDaddy hosting but it’s not managed wordpress. I’m not sure what server caching GoDaddy is using.
Because the site is already live, I need to figure out why some transactions won’t go through to the payment page with these errors.
These do sound like they may be caching related as its having trouble finding some information. Could you try these steps?
1) Turn on your caching plugin
2) Turn off the caching feature within the plugin
3) Deactivate your caching plugin
Then monitor the site for a day or so to see if the issue returns.
