Get error message after 4.9.39.p update:
No configuration section has been provided while attempting to save “_Config”.
EE_Config – _verify_config_params – 555
Also using:
WordPress 4.7.5
EE MailChimp 2.3.5.p
EE Stripe Gateway 1.0.15.p
Please advise

Thanks, though my EE slug remains “events” plural and should be unaffected by this. Moving EE shortcode out of theme Visual Editor wrapper into content provided workaround.

The EE shortcodes are not supported outside of post content fields.
