I am getting an error when trying to resend emails
An error has occurred:
Something went wrong and the message for this registration was NOT resent
However, the email appears to be sending correctly (see attached). I have disabled and re-enabled all messages in the Messages>Settings tab. I do use Mandrill and things look good there.
This is not a critical issue, but am concerned about ongoing errors. Please advise.

Hi Michael,
WP Mandrill has an issue with ‘formatted’ email addresses (Some Name ) meaning it doesn’t handle them correctly and can throw the error mentioned.
To test if this is the issue you can either edit the Message templates within Event Espresso -> Messages.
Click to edit the message contexts for the Pending Payment message – http://take.ms/L0fO2
Then change the To field to use non _FORMATTED shortcodes, like this – http://take.ms/t4XtN
You need to do that for all contexts active on the message type.
Then resend the message, does the error no longer show?

Activate it and retest re-sending the registration details.
That plugin fixes the call when using formatted emails and should allow mandrill to work correctly.

Indeed. I used the shortcode that did not have the “Formatted” tag in it. (Manually.) I looked at the plugin, but seemed that the faster approach was to just change it. No more errors.

Great, I’m glad it worked.
Note you’ll need to do that for any message type that uses _FORMATTED shortcodes.
