I installed EE and some of the plugins. When going to edit my home page, I get this error message.

No configuration section has been provided while attempting to save “_Config”. EE_Config – _verify_config_params – 555

Hi David,

I’m looking into this right now and I’ll let you know what I find.

This looks like there’s a conflict with the Divi Builder plugin. The issue goes away when Divi Builder has been deactivated.

So what is my result. use either or? Reach out to Divi? All of the above?

Weird that it happens only on the home page…isn’t it?

Thx.

I actually checked and it happens on other pages too. One of the factors it seems is whenever there’s a [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on a page, and divi the theme or divi the building plugin is activated, the page editor throws that error.

I don’t see this error happening on my development site with Divi activated though, so it seems there’s something unique about your site that’s potentially triggering the error. I haven’t found it yet though.

Hi David,

We’ve been able to narrow this down a bit further? Do you happen to have a copy of the 3.0.47 version of the Divi theme? It appears that a change included in 3.0.48 is doing something strange that is throwing a wrench into Event Espresso’s shortcode process. We are going to try to add a fix that will avoid that wrench, but in the meantime if you can revert to
Divi version 3.0.47 you’ll be able to edit that page again with the shortcode included in the page content.

Update: I applied a temporary patch that resolves the shortcode issue with the Divi theme so you can stay on the version of Divi if you prefer. We’ll plan on including the patch into the next version of Event Espresso.

If you did a patch, Mine is still doing the same as above.

I do not have access to Divi 3.0.47

Not sure what to do from here…

Hi Kahnebk,

You can install the release candidate, available to download here:

https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/archive/master.zip

The release candidate includes the patch that works around Divi’s shortcode issues.
