Our registrants are getting the following message when attempting to pay with a credit card: “Session Request Error: Blocked IP”. We are using Vanco to collect payments. Any suggestions??

Hi,

This means Vanco has blocked your server’s IP address from their servers and you will need to contact Vanco’s Client Services team directly to have them remove the block.

You’ll find more information here:

We have spent two days on the phone with Vanco……they insist the problem is on Event Espresso end.

Hi,

Did they have an explanation for why they think your IP address being blocked by them is an Event Espresso issue?

It’s not necessarily our IP address being blocked. It’s anyone trying to register for our events thru Espresso that is getting the error message. They thought it was Espresso when they looked at our account and could see no transactions/or information coming thru. Remember I’m not a tech so my terminology might not be correct….sorry.

Can you check with Vanco to see if they have any details about why they’ve blocked the following request from your site?

Vanco Login Request Failed
nvpvar=requestid=202001061835374677
&errorlist=393

Vanco’s 393 code means “IP Address Blocked”.

Hi,

I set your last reply to Private because the information you shared isn’t something that should be published on a public web site.

I will ask Megan why they’re blocking your site. Maybe they can look at their access logs.

Hi,

In case you did not get the email from Megan at Vanco, this was the reply:

Our system was telling us that this IP (37.60.235.180) is not a US IP address, but it is. So that’s the reason for the 393 blocked IP error. Can you try again?
