We are using Event Espresso Version 4.9.28.p. But when we go to the event registration page, we are getting an error message popup for 5 seconds approx. And after 5 seconds the error message popup is automatically disappearing.

And the error message displaying on the popup box is:
An error has occurred:
The requested paypal_pro payment method file could not be found or is not readable due to file permissions.

For your information, Paypal_Pro and PayPal Express both the payment method are Deactivated on the site.

Please guide us.

After giving the Attendee information whenever we click on the Proceed to Payment Options button we are getting error popup again as below:
The following errors have occurred:
The requested paypal_pro payment method file could not be found or is not readable due to file permissions.
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.

Please guide us.

Hi Mark,

It sounds like there is a problem during the installation on the site. In your other support post, Stripe was missing some files.

That may have also happened here.

If you are manually installing files through SFTP or FTP, then could you try removing the current version that it installed, downloading a fresh copy from your account page and uploading the zip file through the WordPress plugins screen?

As per your instruction on previous the previous topic, we have already re-downloaded and re-installed the Stripe Payment Gateway plugin.

Do we need to re-install the Stripe Payment Gateway plugin, Event Espresso plugin and all other add-ons of Event Espresso?

I would say only the Event Espresso plugin itself. If you get any errors about missing files from the add-ons, then you’ll also need to reinstall the add-ons too.
