After completing registration, students have been receiving an error message that some field wasn’t completed (didn’t specify) and sends them back to the beginning, many students have been going through through it all again (reentering cc info and all). After the second time, it gave me an error message again. But, before repeating the process again, many students then receive an email that confirms registration. It is usually only one confirmation email that is received despite the duplicate charges. What is going on please help |
Hi, What version of Event Espresso are you using? You can check through WP-admin –> Plugins. — |

Version 4.6.14.p |
Hi, Are you using a caching plugin like W3 total, Quick Cache, or WP super cache on your site? — |
|
|
No |
Hi, Can you provide a link to one of the events? — |
|

This is the page that they are on |
Hi, I did not experience the issue that you described but there are some errors appearing on the pages: http://cl.ly/image/1B110z1t3F2I The second one is from a plugin that lets you add custom CSS rules. Could you check into that? Also, are you able to duplicate these issues from your end? If so, could you let us know the web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox) that this happens with? — |

Lorenzo, Not sure what I am supposed to be looking for-what do want me to check and how? |
|
they were using Chrome as a browser |
Hi,
It looks like part of your response didn’t post. Could you share those error messages again? The tool that I used was Safari developer tools. It is similar to Chrome Developer tools and Firebug. — |

the error itself is unspecified-the plugin gives an error message that some field wasn’t completed (but it doesnt specify which field) and then sends people back to the beginning of the process and then has been double charging- |
Hi Sean, I took a close look at your site and in the http headers it says: X-Cacheable: YES:Forced and elsewhere: Server support link: godaddy.com This means your site is hosted on Godaddy’s Managed WordPress hosting platform. Event Espresso will not function correctly on this hosting platform because the server serves a cache all of the pages, with no exceptions. Other managed WordPress hosts like WPEngine do allow for excluding some pages from the cache, so there are better options for running e-commerce on a managed host. I can advise to get in touch with GoDaddy’s award-winning 24/7 support to request the site be moved to a hosting plan that does not cache everything all the time. |
