Things have been running fine, but all of a sudden we’re getting an error when adding an event to the cart. Actually the event appears to be added, but when we try to view cart, we get this error:
“It looks like you are attempting to refresh a page after completing your registration or your cart is empty. Please go to the events page and try again.”
We have EE 3.1.37.8.P With Multi Event Registration
I’m not sure exactly where to start unraveling this — suggestions?
The first thing to do is contact the web host to see if they’ve made any changes to the site. Generally speaking, the cart functionality of the plugins do not stop working on their own. For example, if the site was moved to a new server, the PHP session save path will need to be updated to match the new server.
Thanks Josh. I’m also seeing an error on the requirements page indicating that the MYSQL version is not adequate. But when I check the database, it says it’s 5.6.32, which appears to be in the correct range
The PHP Session save path is usually set in the php.ini file (and can be overridden with .conf and .htaccess overrides). This happens at the server level and isn’t something you can set in the WordPress install. You may need to contact the web host to fix this.
