Wordpress: 4.1
Event Espresso: 4.6.4.p
Registration page: http://childwitness.com/pancake-luncheon-2015/
Using Mandril for email

I use to get 2 emails each time someone registered. The first email was “Event Registration Details”. The second email was “Payment Received from…”. I am only receiving one email now saying that “Payment has been received…”. However, when I go into EE and look at everyone’s registration, many of them are saying that Payment is Pending. So I am getting an email confirmation of payment, and I I have looked into our paypal account and they say payment was confirmed, but EE is not updating their registration.

Help please.

Thanks,

Hi Linda,

The problem is that when Payment Data Transfer is active in your PayPal account, PayPal sends the user back to Event Espresso with completely unexpected payment data. So it looks like the payment failed in Event Espresso.

I believe we have a fix coming soon.

Hi Seth,

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to update you and let you know that the issue still occurs in Event Espresso 4.6.6.p. We have been comparing registrations with payment information available from PayPal so that we can manually approve registrations, but we would appreciate any additional information on this issue and if you have an ETA for a resolution.

Thank you,

Josh

Hi Linda,

There is still some work going on for an upcoming hotfix release of 4.6 that will help in cases where people do not return from PayPal. In the meantime, it will help if you can enable PayPal’s auto return feature in your PayPal account. When you activate the PayPal auto return URL, it will ask you to input a URL. Any URL will do, but you can input the URL for your site’s registration-checkout page for the auto return URL.
