Hi our evertec payment gteway is not working. we deactivated all our plug-ins to see if have to do with it. But still not working. the error is after processing the payment it said:
An error ocurrred processing your payment. Request error descriptionbuy- Estrategias del cobro (this is the name of our event).
We need urgent service. We have this system for 10 months and we haven’t used it because of continuous errors.

Using the admin credentials you sent separately by email, I was able to login and identify the problem- the purchase’ description being sent to Evertec was over the 50 character limit. So I made a change directly on your server to limit the description’s length and that error isn’t appearing anymore. I created several test transactions using the test card you provided and one of our cards (all for payments under $0.3)

Hi mike: thank you for your prompt response. Do we have to short the event names or the programming will do it? please let me know.
In the other hand. Can we now upgrade to EE4? Our payment evertec gateway can run in this new version?.

No you do not need to shorten your event names- the code will only use the first 50 characters of the event name when sending the item’s description to Evertec.
Also unfortunately this payment integration is NOT compatible with EE4. You’ll need to talk to Garth about porting it over
