Hi folks, thanks for working so fast on EE4!
I installed the new beta promotions add-on. Installing went fine, but when I try to save the first new promotion i get the following error code:
The EE_Promotion_Event_Scope class was not found. EE_Promotion – scope_obj – 394.
The new promo is listed in the promotions overview tab and it’s possible to edit it until you use it. It does work! After that the edit promotion page will only load a blank page with the error code on top. Thought like to know.
As a side note I find it a bit counter intuitive to “check off” any event I want the promo to be valid for. To me it would be more logical to check the item you want to promote instead of checking the ones you DONT want the promotions to apply to. However I am fairly sure I actually (in error) ticked the box with my test-event – and since the promo do work it may also be just a typo in the text adjacent to the scope selector.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this valuable feedback. If you go to add another new promotion, does the same error appear again?

Where it says “Check off the specific events that this promotion will be applied to.” It would be more clearly stated if it were something like:
“Check the box next to the specific events that this promotion will be applied to.”
So we can clarify that statement.

Hi Josh,
Adding another promotion does indeed make the error appear. The page of the new promo appears blank with the error code above. Reloading the page makes it disappear and the page appear as it should. When going back and forth the promo list, new promo and edit existing the error appears at random at approximately 50%.
The suggestion you had is better in my opinon:
“Check the box next to the specific events that this promotion will be applied to.”
