Hi,

What could be the issue, when only the logged in users are able to register to events (using EE4.8.19)? For logged out users it gives the following warning:

EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – _verify_critical_attendee_details_are_set_and_validate_email – 911

Thanks in advance.

Sometimes this can be caused by caching. If you can post a link to an event page we can investigate further.

Hi Peter,

Are you running any caching plugins or does your host run server side caching at all?

With registrations working for logged in users but not others this would normally point to caching. Logged in users by default do not receive cached content, only logged out users.

Hi,

No, I have no caching plugins installed. What comes to the server side caching, I don’t think so either.

Here’s the link as requested: http://tiny.cc/deoe5x

Thanks,

Hi, I spotted a few errors on your registration checkout page.

One of them is related to a missing resource with your theme. The other is related to another plugin and the last is for validation for Event Espresso 4.

The validation error does not look familiar.

Was Event Espresso 4 manually installed by uploading files via an SFTP / FTP client?

If so, could you try removing your version and downloading and installing a new copy through your WordPress plugins screen in your WP dashboard?

Hi, EE was installed through WP’s plugin uploader. Just to be sure, I removed and reuploaded the plugin, but with no change.

The problem seems to be related to the theme, for it works with Twentyfifteen. Any ideas? The validation errors you pointed out should now be dealt with.

Hi Peter, is the theme up to date?

The two links for the theme are showing some broken links:

If you are using an older version of the theme, then please try updating to a current version.

Hi, the theme is up to date. As a matter of fact, I updated it just today.

The broken links should now be fixed.
Only error I’m getting is the following:

Uncaught ReferenceError: ee_form_section_vars is not defined(anonymous function) @ form_section_validation.js?ver=4.8.19.p:25j @ jquery-2.1.4.min.js?ver=2.1.4:2k.fireWith @ jquery-2.1.4.min.js?ver=2.1.4:2n.extend.ready @ jquery-2.1.4.min.js?ver=2.1.4:2I @ jquery-2.1.4.min.js?ver=2.1.4:2

The error above doesn’t appear for logged in users.

Is there any way to dismiss the form validation (required fields)?

Hi Peter,

The form validation is not the only thing that’s broken here. None of the scripts that normally load just before the closing </body> tag are present. The only script present is the one for the cookie law bar.

Has the theme’s footer.php file been modified in any way? Or is there a function added somewhere that’s unhooking functions from the wp_footer() action if the current user isn’t logged in?
