I get the following error and I can’t process payments on my website.

Help!!

Warning: openssl_cipher_iv_length() [function.openssl-cipher-iv-length]: Unknown cipher algorithm in /home/content/o/s/c/oscarlili/html/regional2017/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Encryption.core.php on line 276

Thank you.

Hi there,

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Admin Options

Is ‘Encode Session Data?’ set to Yes? If so set it to No and save the settings.

Next go to Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Reg Form Settings.

Make sure ‘Encrypt Bot Trap Data’ is set to No and save the settings.

That should allow your registration to work again.

I’d also like to investigate this a little further to see what is happening, for that I would need FTP credentials for your server, would that be ok?

If yes you can send the details using this form:

It seemed to partially solve the problem, now when I start a registration and click on “Proceed to Payment Options” the page does not advance to select the payment method.

Any advice on that?

Thank you.

I just ran a test registration on your event and didn’t have a problem proceeding to payment options – http://take.ms/qZKdA

Does an error message show when you try?

No, it does not give me an error message. The screen freezes and does not load the payment option.

Hi there,

You can try bumping up the amount of memory available for WordPress first, by following this guide:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Then after you do the above, you clear your browser’s cookies and cache, then try the registration form again.
