Erratically sending registration emails to attendees from inactive/expired event

Since we updated the plugin two days ago, the EE4 plugin keeps sending repeated registration confirmation messages to the attendees who registered for an event that already ended.

I even deleted the event in hopes that it will solve the problem but it didn’t. People are annoyed as expected. Can you help us figure out what is going on? Our webmaster has tried to look into the setting but hasn’t been able to figure out what is causing it.

Hi Tara,

You can go to Event Espresso > Messages > Messages Activity table and it will show a log of the emails that have been sending and it can also show messages that are queued to be resent/sent later. What may have happened is the messages failed earlier so they were not cleared from an earlier queue and got processed much later. In which case you can select all of those messages and delete them from the queue. There’s more information about the Message Queue System here:
