Using EE4, how can I enable registrations from all countries? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-countries-used-event-espresso/ Currently, only registrations from the United States are being allowed. We are running a global event in multiple cities around the world. I have watched the video above and it would seem that the process to enable all is to go through every country in the list, one at a time, select them, then click yes, then save country and repeat that for xxx number of countries. Is there a way to simply enable all countries without having to spend all that time doing data entry/clicks? |

Plus, when we edit any single country, (like adding the United Kingdom or the Phillipines) we then get red text stating “Currency setting inputs are currently only enabled for the country “United States” which is the selected country for the site. This can be changed in the “Contact Information” section under the “Your Organization” tab of the Event Espresso – General Settings.” We are not looking to change the currency at all. Charging in the same currency regardless where a person comes from. (charging everything in US currency via paypal pro payment method). |

It is possible to use a query to enable all countries, however, within the country settings mentioned above, when you select a country and enable it EE pulls in all of its states and saves them to the database for the user to select. Without that step, there will be no state for the user to select for their selected country. If you want to use country and state fields, you’ll need to enable the country through the country settings…. or you can also enable all countries and then select each country in the dropdown so it loads the states without you having to change the option first. (Another option is to enable all countries but not collect the state field)
We added that warning because users were selecting a country in that dropdown, setting the currency options and then wondering why those currency options were not used. The problem was they hadn’t set their country in general settings so selecting their country changed the settings for the country, but EE didn’t know which country to use. In other words, you don’t need to worry about that notice. |
