We just launched today and are getting complaints that people are adding classes to their shopping cart but then when they try to check out their cart is empty. Please help!
We’re running the most up to date software and have the multi registration plugin. We’re really freaking out over here. I cannot duplicate the problem.
If you try and add a class, select from the drop down and click Add to event cart – THEN when the pop up opens, the button that says Proceed to Regstraion – there isn’t anything in the cart even tho you totally just added the class. If on the other hand you click View Event Cart and FROM THERE click Proceed to Registration, the cart shows the classes…. Ugg….
I checked your site and the http headers are reporting the pages are being served from a Varnish cache. Event Espresso’s checkout pages need to be served dynamically, not from a cache.
Can you check with your host to see if they can either a) disable the Varnish cache for the pages that handle event registration or b) move the site to a server that’s not serving the webpages from a cache?
