we are launching a new site for a client and this weekend has been a challenge to say the least with event espresso…. paypal info was filled in and we tested, had to make a change to the paypal email so I did that and now i have NO PAYPAL button at all on my event registrations AND the paypal menu in EE will not open…so i can see the list of all the payment gateway options and none of them will open so I can see whats going on… help! also, is there a way to search by event staff? |
Hi, Is your host WP Engine? If so, upload this file using an SFTP or FTP client (e.g. filezilla or cyberduck) to this location: /wp-content/plugins https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/1afd180884f9c603d4f5 Then activate through WordPress admin –> Plugins. — |

gosh i am getting frustrated… it says there was a reply modified by sidney harrell and i cannot see it… is this the only way to get support? |
Hi, Sidney edited your reply so we could read it as the formatting was broken. Here is feedback on your new questions:
Yes, you can type the name of the event author/creator and the live search will filter it. You can further add details to see a specific event. Here is an example: http://cl.ly/image/3v0B3K47080N
You’ll need to assign that question to a question group through the question group editor. You can’t make this change through the event editor. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/question-groups/
This is likely occurring as another plugin that uses a time function is interfering. Try temporarily deactivating any other plugins that may have a time feature (e.g. booking, appointment plugin).
Yes, please see this shortcode: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#staff — |

The link you posted doesn’t work, as it is a private file. I deleted the other link you posted, that was to a page in the backend of your site. If you need to show us something that you are seeing, you can take a screenshot, upload it to dropbox or another sharing service. If you need us to log in and see something, we have a form you can fill out to send login credentials. Usually, we can only log into your site when we are on a support token. |

question: when doing recurring events… is it possible to have events show like they do in the attached screenshot? this is my clients OLD calendar and when they have multiple times/dates for a particular class (i.e. recurring event) the customer can see the multiple options to choose from. when i do a recurring event in EE each class shows up on the site as an individual event so customer has to search thru all the classes to see multiple options for a particular class. does that make sense? https://www.dropbox.com/s/86w6oq6xm6e4v4d/Screen%20Shot%202014-12-09%20at%209.17.17%20AM.png?dl=0 |
Hi there, The closest thing that EE3 has that looks like your screenshot is available with the Recurring events dropdown template add-on, here’s a link to its product page: https://eventespresso.com/product/recurring-events-drop-down/ regarding this issue: 3. i have entered a few events and when i “update event” the registration time changes to current time so the event is “closed” and i have to go back into the event and redo the times then re-save and then it changes…? That may also be related to the WPEngine hosting issue where they’ve disabled the WordPress Heartbeat API, which leads to the JavaScript in the event editor breaking. The way forward I can recommend is contact WPEngine support and ask them to un-disable the WordPress Heartbeat API for your WordPress admin. There’s a little plugin you can also try that I wrote that may help in the interim: |
