My client is frustrated with the email functions not working properly. She says: “PayPal is taking the money and sending me receipts. But Event Espresso is listing the students as registered but unpaid — the payment screen shows “PayPal” as Transaction type; “0” for transaction ID, and nothing as being paid — PLUS students are NOT receiving EE confirmations.” I tried the “alternate email address confirmation” option offered in reply to my post 2 moths ago when then started, but that did not result in anything. Help is appreciated as my client is getting grumpy with me. |

Hi Suzanne, The emails won’t go out until the payment has been received. We need to get that working and then the emails will be sent out. What version of Event Espresso is this client using and do you know if the PayPal IPN is running on this site? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-set-up-paypal-ipn/ — |

We are running EE3 and the IPN is active/running. Everything was working fine until August 8 then all EE emails stopped. Nothing was knowingly changed as of that date. I don’t know how to fix this! |

What event is this failing on? — |

All events. All EE emails have stopped. |

Hi Suzanne, Can you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Email Settings. In there you will find the option ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’ is that set to No? Also, if you check the IPN log file on the server within in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/logs/ there may be some errors within that that will help troubleshoot this. |

Send payment confirmation emails? YES I see there was a Constant Contact API plugin activated on my site, which was not being used…I deactivated it. Maybe it was interfering?? Is there anyway to test email? Since I have it set to not send without payment? |

If you make a registration onto an event, then go to the attendee list for that event, you will find the ‘Resend Confirmation Email’ icon – http://take.ms/sV28h If you click that the confirmation email will be sent regardless of the setting above. |
