Getting the following when look at the Message Activity – Failed Sending, Can be retried log.
Message was not executed successfully.
Messenger and Message Type were valid and active, but the messenger send method failed.
The email did not send successfully.
The WordPress wp_mail function is used for sending mails but does not give any useful information when an email fails to send.
It is possible the “to” address (xxxxxxx@gmail.com) or “from” address (xxxxxxxxx@nolimitscafe.org) is invalid.
EE_Email_messenger – _send_message – 454
I changed the valid emails to xxxxx. The emails are correct. Every email is getting this.
I have tried to turn off my plugins and still don’t get emails. When the email is in the Queued for Sending – if I leave it for the automated process it fails if I click on “Send Immediately” the email is sent. Please help we have an event that will start soon.
Thanks I am testing – it appears that it worked for my “test” event. Will try on the real event to make sure all is good. General question – how does it decide who the email is from? Is that the author of the page?

It depends on the shortcode set in the ‘From’ section of the message template itself.
By default, it should be [CO_EMAIL] which parses to the email address set in Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Your Organization -> Primary Contact Email.
