If, for example, I have 3 events simultaneously open for registration, is there a way to use the default registration details template to send confirmations for two of the events, but create a separate, customized email response for the third?
Also, in ee3 there was a one-click method to send a batch email to all attendees of a particular event (For example, we send a link to a survey to all attendees after an event) . Am I correct that now I would need to export the email addresses in Excel and create a batch email outside of the ee environment?
This is possible. You would need to create the custom message for this event that you would like the customized email notification for. You can reach this option through the Event Editor (bottom of page). See this screenshot:
We are currently testing a notification feature similar to the batch email feature in EE3. We hope to have it ready for an upcoming version of Event Espresso 4.
