Hi, We’re using the Printable Tickets Add-on with EE4. We’re getting reports from customers of ticket links in the ticket notice email redirecting to the home page. We’ve been forwarded a few examples and they do indeed redirect incorrectly. However, when I look at the generated email in the WordPress dashboard it redirects correctly. I’ve read a few articles on a similar subject and to confirm a few things about our set up: – We have ‘Ticket Notice’ enabled in Settings -> Email Any pointers as to what might be going on would be really useful. Cheers |
Hi there, Can you please share one of the broken links here? You can share it as a private reply here. |

Ok, so the template files are fine and the emails generated by Event Espresso itself are correct (they show correctly in the message queue). I’m waiting for the messages to come through from your mail provider to confirm this but I suspect it’s an issue with the link tracking enabled on the emails. Have you recently changed mail service providers? |

We have been using SMTP.com. We initially set up without using an SMTP server (so PHP Mail) and all emails failed to send. Since using SMTP.com it’s been working fine. |

Hi Tony, I have spoken with SMTP.com and concluded that it is not an issue with them. I have turned off tracking within my settings in SMTP.com and we’re still seeing the same issue. When I send an email from “Preview” I’m still seeing redirects to the home page, however, the preview of your email works fine (in browser). Tom |

Hi Tony, Thanks so much for your in depth reply. Just to throw a spanner in the works; the email still has the same issue when trackin within SMTP.com is turned off. Tracking is now disabled completely. I don’t suppose you’d like to try again? I can’t easily turn off SMTP.com and use PHP Mail as when we did this last time, none of the emails sent at all. I will look at using our own SMTP server and see if that might resolve things. Tom |
I’ve just tested retriggering the ticket notice email and click-tracking is still enabled on the email I receive. When testing this if you trigger the email within EE then when received you hover over the ‘Print your tickets’ button your browser will show the link on the bottom left. That should be similar to the working link I posted, if it shows another domain like |

Hi Tom, I hope all is well. I just wanted to follow up on this. Did it work on your own SMTP server? Let us know if you need further assistance. Thanks! |
