Email notifications for new events

If EE4 events are actually considered new posts, why does the standard jetpack blog email system not send out emails for new events to blog subscribers? I am now using mailjet, and am really struggling to try and get new events to be automatically emailed to my subscribers.

Hi,

The reason is because Jetpack only sends out notifications for new blog posts. Jetpack’s Subscriptions feature does not send out notifications for other types of custom posts. There’s an open issue on Jetpack’s issue tracker that includes some history about this:
