In Event Espresso -> Management -> Messages. I have edited the “Ticket notice”. I have saved this, and it stays saved when leaving the page and visiting again. However, when I register for an event, I am getting the default “Ticket notice” mail sent to me. I have checked for custom message templates, which were not present. I have also made sure the email notification settings for “Ticket notice” are on Global. I have even made a custom message template and set the event’s notification to that one, but still received the default template after event registration. When sending a test mail from the template editor, I am receiving the correct layout. How can I configure all my events to receive the correct template, and why am I still getting the default one, when it is nowhere to be found? |
Hi there, When you get to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message templates -> Ticket Notice, what exact link are you clicking to edit the ticket notice template? Can you post a screenshot of the ticket notice editor please? |

Hi Tony, I click on “Edit” as shown in this screenshot; Screenshot. And the editor looks like this. |
Thank you, so the problem is that you are within the wrong context within the message Ticket Notice template. When you click the Edit link, EE defaults to the first context for the message type. Notice in your screenshot you have a ‘Primary Registrant’ and a ‘Registrant’ link just above the edit button. When you click the Edit link it takes you directly to the ‘Primary Registrant’ context as its first, however notice how the link is grey? That’s because that context is not active (nothing is set within the ‘TO’ field) This may help – http://take.ms/Jaltz So you can either select the Registrant context within the dropdown at the top and click switch – http://take.ms/vS97b Or when editing the template, select the Registrant context link – http://take.ms/zMAaF It may seem a little confusing, but EE was designed to allow Event Admins the choice of which message goes to whom, and what content should go in each of those messages so with that flexibility there’s a few more options. (Note the Primary Registrant context is inactive by default, there’s nothing wrong with your setup) |

Tony, This has indeed fixed my issues. The solution was obvious when I look back at it now. Thanks for the amazingly easy to understand support. |
You’re most welcome 🙂 I’ll mark this thread resolved, if you have any further problems please feel free to open up another thread. |
