Is there a way to send an email (custom message template) to the event admin based on the category of the events.
We are organising a summer school and all registrations for the summer school should be mailed to the summerschool mail address. The registrations for the other events on courses and seminars (other category) should be send to the default mail address. Thanks in advance for your answer!
Not based on the category no, but you can create a custom message template, set the summerschool email address on that and then set the template on the events themselves so they use that specific template.
Edit one of the summerschool events and go to the ‘Notifications’ section.
Make sure you are on the email tab.
The ‘Registration Approved’ email is the message mainly used, click ‘Create New Custom’.
Set a meaningful name for the template (Summberschool template for example) and a description if needed and click ‘Create Template’ and then save the event.
Again back at the Notifications section, click the ‘Summberschool template’ will be selected for Registration Approved, click the edit button.
A new window should open editing that custom template and by default that will be on the ‘Event Admin’ context (See HERE for more details)
Change the shortcode used in the ‘TO’ field to the email address you want to use and save. You may also want to switch to the ‘Registrant’ context (see the link above) and change the FROM field to be from that address so that people reply to that if needed.
Any other events you want to use that same template you just select it in the dropdown for Registration Approved in the notifications section and save.
