Hi Guys, I’m having trouble resending registration email, i.e. it won’t send and I get the following error message: “An error has occurred: Any ideas what’s causing this? Cheers |
Hi there, Are you using a transaction email service such as Mandill or PostMark or just using your hosts mail server? Have you modified the message templates at all? |

Thanks again for the faster response. ๐ No, I’m not using a mail service. I am trying to use a custom email template. However, I’ve scrapped the one I was working on and started afresh. All I’ve done is change the recipient to Primary Registrant and the TO recipients to: What I’m trying to do is send an email to all registrant with the details of their question answers included and some extra information about the venue. But I haven’t added those modifications to the template yet. Just the recipients. cheers |
You need commas between each of those.
However I’m not sure what you have done here:
Could you explain further please? Each message in the messages system can have multiple contexts, for example a Registration Approved message that you send to a Registrant, will be different from a Registration Approved message you send to an event admin so EE allows you to edit them independently. However with the above it appears you are trying to use a single context, to send the message to The Primary Registrant, the event admin, and the registrant. I don’t think your setup will work as expected.
Event Espresso does this by default with the default message templates. |

lol I think you’re right that it won’t work as expected. ๐ I’ve just realised that a custom message template has 3 aspects to it: And what I was trying to do is unnecessary. The default email templates do not include the registrant’s answers to questions. That’s what I’ve trying to achieve. However, I’ve managed to achieve what I needed to. The key thing was the commas between the recipients (which aren’t need now). Thanks again for your help. ๐ |
