Hi,

I’m not getting confirmation emails when people book events, they are getting sent to attendees though.

I tried to fix this by installing EE transactional emails and using Mandrill.

I can get the test email to send via Mandrill, but the registration email is still going through the normal wp system (they are not showing up in the Mandrill report, but the test emails do). Not sure whats going on.

Also the links within the plug in admin interface to create a new server and email signature on the Mandrill site don’t link to anywhere in Mandrill, i.e. get page not found.

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Do you have any other SMTP plugins currently installed?

Just to confirm have you checked the checkbox for ‘Send using Mandrill’ (Sends emails sent using wp_mail via Mandrill.) within Dashboard -> Settings -> EE Transactions Settings -> Mandrill General Settings?

Also the links within the plug in admin interface to create a new server and email signature on the Mandrill site don’t link to anywhere in Mandrill, i.e. get page not found.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, it would appear those links have changed, I’ll issue a ticket to have those updated.

Hi Andrew,

Rather than me bouncing questions to an from, would it be possible to get your login details to investigate further?

Is so please send them using https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Hi Andrew,

After some investigation it looks like Mandrill may have altered their API, requiring an update to the EE Transaction Plugin in order for it to work correctly.

However, when the EE Transaction plugin was release there was no other similar plugins available. Since it’s release wpMandrill has also been released which is actively updated & supported.

I would recommend using the above plugin to use the Mandrill services. It effectively does the same thing which is replace the wp_mail function with a custom version to send to Mandrill and as such will work with Event Espresso.

However, admin emails should always be sent (there is not option to disabled them currently) I notice the site is running on 3.1.36.2 with some custom templates. Can you temporarily rename the templates folder in wp-content/uploads/espresso/ to something other than templates and re-run a registration please. Do you then receive notifications?

Also have you modified any of the core functions within Event Espresso?

Hi Tony,

Tried renaming the template file but didn’t help.

I haven’t modified any core functions.

Hi Andrew,

You’ll want to try using the other Mandrill plugin:
