Hi I have a bit of an urgent problem When people register for an event I capture their email address I then send insctructions about arrival times etc about a week before We have a coach trip this weekend that I sent out these instructions using the send batched email. However a number of people have phoned up saying they hadnt received anything When I look at the registrations there are no email addresses at all, but this is a required field Can you advise if there is a bug and would the email be saved anywhere? At present I have no way of contacting these people. Thanks |
Hi there, Are these users the ‘Primary Registrant’ or additional registrations within a group? The Email address question is a system question within the ‘Personal information’ system question group. It will not show up within the registrations custom questions when you view the admin, here – http://take.ms/YI77h I ran a registration on one of your events and it looks like you don’t request the personal information question group for additional registrants. So you will not collect their email addresses (EE will use the Primary Registrants email in its place). So to clarify, where are you looking for the Email Address? Which event is this happening on? |

Hi Tony This is the Primary Registrant we are wanting the info on Its happened on the coach trip for Hampton Court – I have gone to do a batch email out and realised all the email addresses are missing Its also happened on the Traders page – we run several markets a year and have one this weekend so gone to email people and realised their emails have gone too Any new registrations that are being added are not being recorded either Hope this makes sense Thanks |
Have you made any customization’s to Event Espresso? Loading any custom templates from within your theme or any custom functions hooking into to add any functionality? I’ve just made a test registration onto the Seaside event, so if you view my registration do you not see any email address set? |

Hi Tony There is no email address there I have the premium of Event Espresso and all plugins are up to date The Event Espresso database updated a couple of weeks back – it may have been from then when the problem started. I have only noticed it because I have gone to send an email with details on to the coach trip travellers and realised all email addresses are missing. As you say it is a required field. Are they hidden somewhere in the database and just not being shown or has it somehow lost them? Thanks |
I can’t say as I can’t reproduce this on any of my test sites however if it is not displayed within the admin then I would suspect its not within the database. Have you made any customization’s to Event Espresso? Are you loading any custom templates from within your theme or any custom functions hooking into to add any functionality? |

Hi Tony No – not made any customisation at all and only using the supplied plugins The only additional one being used is one that is from GitHub (I think thats what its called) and is to do with pricing Any idea how I can fix this as its going to be a huge issue as we run up towards Christmas as we have our Tea with Santa we will want to put live soon and there will be around 500 registrants for that Thanks |
That’s a custom function that hook into EE. I’m trying to see if this is an issue with a custom function being used on the site. Can I take a look at my registration within the admin? If so can you send temporary login details using this form: |
