Been getting an error on registration page for last couple of days. Email addresses submitted are valid but registration form rejects them as invalid. Tried it myself on both Firefox and Safari. WordPress Version: |
Hi Frank, Can you link us to one of your events so we can view this please? |

Hmm, ok. Are you hooking into EE to change any of the registration form at all? Using any hooks or example code from the forums? (It appears not but just double checking) |
Also, do you have the EE4 User Integration add-on installed? |
Not using any hooks. No User Integration installed. I also tried deactivating all plugins except EE and deactivated reCAPTCHA in the regForm settings page to no avail. |
Thank you for confirming, can you send me a copy of the theme so I can investigate? Depends on the size of the theme you may need to host the file on something like dropbox and email the link to support[at]eventespresso.com |
Theme update available. Support had ended for me. Didn’t know. Am going to purchase additional support, update theme, and will send files if problem is not solved. Keep you posted…. |
I went ahead and updated the theme but no luck. I also updated EE to a new version posted tonight, but no luck. Emailed you theme files. Thank you. |
Hi Frank, The theme works fine our local servers so this is most likely a server configuration issue. Can you send FTP credentials via the form on this page so we can investigate further? |

Found this in Error Log: redacted – Event Espresso support team – LOC |

Error log and update history correlate with the update to 4.8.36.p |
It’s definitely a combination of the update and your server not able to parse the new server side email validation script. For now I can recommend reverting to version 4.8.35.p which you can download a copy via this link. |
Thanks! So just delete present version and install 4.8.35p? Also, let me know if you think updating memory allocated to php, PHP version, or whatever else you think would do it on my server. |
Correct. I don’t think updating the memory or PHP version will help in this case. We’re working on adding a setting to allow you to select the type of email validation used instead of only offering one type. We’re planning on including the new email validation types in the next release. |

I’m back in business. Will update on next release. Thanks. |
