Email address in confirmations is different than email in settings

Even though the email settings are all listed from the company gmail address, the email confirmations keep coming from my personal gmail address. I’ve tried to find any reference to my own personal email in EE but can’t, everything is listed with the right info, but when I do test emails it’s still showing my name as sender and my email address. What am I missing?

Hi there,

If you’re the author of the event, and your email is set for your user account, and the email templates include the [EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL] shortcode in the To or From fields, then that’s how your email address will be included.

You can change the field value anywhere you see a shortcode like [EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL] and change it to be [CO_EMAIL].

The from fields do already have [co_email], but yet it’s not coming from the email listed in the EE settings.

In that case there may be another plugin activated on the site that’s hooking into the WordPress email filters. Other plugins that handle email (like contact form plugins) have this feature. If you temporarily deactivate all other WordPress plugins besides Event Espresso is the correct From address used in the email?

I did that and it did not help. The weirdest part is that the email being used is not anywhere except the user name on the EE account.

You could try this plugin which will override whatever is setting the from email and from name:
