Elementor Post widget ordering by Event Date, rather than Publish Date

We are using Elementor on our website and have setup a Post widget on the home page to display the top 3 Events. However, we can only order by Publish or Update date. Is it possible to order by Espresso Event Date?

Hi there,

Currently Event Espresso doesn’t officially support page builders and the post widget in question would need the query changed specifically for EE event data to work.

Can you send me the copy of Elementor you are using so I can see how it’s pulling in the posts? If there is a hook available for it I may be able to give you a snippet for this.
