Running into a problem with the ticket selector short code. We embedded the code for an event and when we select tickets and click on View Cart it just redirects us to the ticket selector page. It does add the tickets to the cart but it is confusing for visitors. Is their a way to have it redirect to the cart page after the tickets have been selected and added? The page for reference is here https://www.networkinaging.com/event/36th-annual-meeting-conference/ .

Sorry… more info… I forgot to add part of the problem. We tried the embed code as opposed to the shortcode and we got the EEDTicketSelectorMsg is not defined error like the post title suggests. Either option would be fine for us to use as long as we can get one to work. Thank you!

Hi there,

If you place the ticket selector embed code or ticket selector short code on a regular WordPress post or page does it work? This will help us narrow down what’s actually causing the problem.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for your help! I did plug it into a test page https://www.networkinaging.com/event-test/ and it does appear to work. So any ideas how to get it to work on the event calendar page?

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Yeah it’s a fairly simple fix. What’s happening is the scripts that normally load the modal for viewing the cart/proceeding to registration, are not loading on the tri.be event calendar page. The Event Espresso plugin tries to only load resources where needed, but this is no doubt a place where those scripts are needed. Here’s a link to a gist that has some code you can add to your site as a temporary fix:

https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/866ab9bb7d47b17e524453906d552da4

You can add the above to a functions plugin or into your WordPress theme’s functions.php file.

I’m also making a ticket for one of the Event Espresso developers to improve things a bit so if it’s another post type, like in this case a tribe_events post type, the short code resources are included there too. Once that’s rolled out in an update, you’ll be able to remove the temporary fix.

Josh,

That worked perfectly. Thank you for your help and for sending the ticket along to the developers.

Jeff
