When purchasing tickets I get the following message:

An error has occurred:
We’re sorry but your request failed to pass a security check.
Please click the back button on your browser and try again.
EED_Ticket_Selector – process_ticket_selections – 326

My site did have W3 Total Cache running. I configured it as per the settings on the post – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/ – but the error persisted.

I have since completely deleted all W3TC related files and config files as detailed in the following post – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-w3-total-cache-how-to-uninstall-with-no-admin-panel – but still get the error when booking tickets. I have purged all cache and deleted the cache folder. Restarted Apache and the server.

The website is http://www.active-kids.org/events/

Any idea what else I can try?

Hello James,

Can you please try deactivating all of your plugins, except for Event Espresso, then try retesting? I am seeing a ton of stuff potentially conflicting scripts loading, as well as lots of script redirects on every page load of your site (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/IyEtcIFR7). I have a theory that a plugin or maybe the theme is causing issues.

Hi Seth,

I have turned off a few of the plugins and it works. I then turned back on a few of the more important plugins 1 by 1 and found the error returns when activating the WordPress HTTPS Plugin. Any suggestions how to fix this? I need https to run for security reasons. Currently I have force https for /events/ and admin?

Oh ya! That’s running a lot smoother with that plugin, and whatever else deactivated (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/C0cat1s2i). You’re down to 5.3 second load time, instead of 15.3!

Anyways, I think what is happening is that the WordPress HTTPS Plugin is probably trying to redirect non-https scripts and images to https.

So if there is a setting for that, you may try turning that off, then trying to pinpoint what files or plugins, if any, are not loading in https. You’ll either need to fix those files or get with the plugin developers to fix the issues.

Does that all make sense?
