I notice in the espresso-grid-template.template.php file there are some declarations at the beginning ($date_format = get_option( ‘date_format’ );
$time_format = get_option( ‘time_format’ );) can these be used to alter the default date / time display over the grid images?
Yes they can. The code gets the date and time format options set in WordPress > Settings > General. If you want to use a different date and time format in the Grid template, you can pass in a valid PHP date and time format instead.
