If this is a new install then could you please remove the existing software and try installing a fresh copy of Event Espresso through WordPress plugins?
You can download a copy of the Event Espresso software as a zip file through your Event Espresso account page:
I have used Updraftplus to install the backup files onto a new path from a test area. This is the process I have used many times with success. The original install works perfectly. I did as you mentioned before lodging a ticket – went into files and deleted install of the plugin and reinstalled a fresh copy. I cannot even get the login.php page to work for the website from the internet at the moment.
I have access to the files obviously, is there anything I can change on the EE_Session page?
Thanks for letting us know how you fixed the issue. Have a great weekend!
