Is it possible to have multiple member levels in the WP User Capability required for purchasing this ticket field?
I have multiple member levels that I need to add.
Thanks!

Hi there,

Currently you can only assign a single capability to the ticket, however do your user roles not stack capabilities?

For example you may have “level 1”, “level 2”, “level 3” user roles.

“level 1” could have the capability ‘level_1’

“level 2” could have the ‘level_1’ and ‘level_2’.

“level 3” could have the ‘level_1’, ‘level_2’ and ‘level_3’ capabilities.

This means you can target all of those roles using the level_1 cap.

You would need an additional cap on each role to target ONLY that specific role, for example level_1_only, would only be assigned to “level 1” and allow you to set only that specific role.

Unfortunately they do not. I’ve read that this capability is available on S2Membership which we attempted to install and had issues. Is this something that we could get custom coding built for as we have multiple clients all with the same issue??

Custom coding may not be necessary because WordPress lets you create custom capabilities (and there are readymade plugins that allow you to do this without coding). Does paid memberships pro create a user role for each membership level, or is it all done with one role, with different capabilities assigned to each membership level?

I am using PMPro Roles plug in, described as follows: “Adds a WordPress Role for each Membership Level with Display Name = Membership Level Name and Role Name = ‘pmpro_role_X’ (where X is the Membership Level’s ID).”
I have tried adding the name of the membership level, the level id – with and without pmpro_role verbiage to test this but my event still wasn’t visible.
In reality – I want ALL levels to have access – but I can’t get even the event to be visible to even one level.

Hi Geri,

Can you send me a copy of the add-on so I can see how the roles work on a test site please?

You can send a copy to support[at]eventespresso.com although depending on the size you may need to host the file on something like dropbox and send a download link within the email.
