Hello!
I know you so do not support customizing, but maybe you can still help me.

In the past I copied a PHP file from EE4 into my child theme directory and there I made some customizing.
But now these files would not be included anymore.
Is there any change in EE4?
Thank you very much!

Hi there,

Which file(s) are you referring to please? I’ll check into this.

You’ve previously copied TicketSelectorRowStandard.php into your child theme to customize it? EE doesn’t allow for an override of that file.

You can copy some template files into your theme and EE will override them, but that doesn’t work for every (the above is not a template file).

May I ask what it is you are looking to customize?

Ok, but up to one of the last updates it worked fine also with that file.

I want to expand the title of the event in the table view with some dynamic informations (first date, amount of dates, …)

TicketSelectorRowStandard.php is the file for a class, we have never built anything into Event Espresso to allow you to override complete classes just by adding files to your sites theme.

Doing so causes issues for us in the long run so have chosen not to go down that path.

standard_ticket_selector.template.php (notice the ‘template’ in the filename, is an example of a template file you can override)

ticket_selector_chart.template.php is another from a while back.

Do you have the custom version of the file you used previously?

Ok, so I’ve just checked out version 4.10.26 (from Janurary) with that same file and cant see any modifications to the ticket selector output.

Are you sure you were loading that file from the theme?
